March Reflection 2023

Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I am starting something new and taking a break from my monthly favorite song posts. I thought I would share with you all ten self-reflection questions and answers about how this month has been. I thought this would be a great post to help you all learn a little about me and how a typical day looks for me. If you all like this type of post, I will continue to write them and I hope this will encourage you to do your own self-reflection as well!

1. What went well this month? What did I accomplish?

I was able to write three poems this month and I was able to get ahead of two research papers I have due next month. I also had a boost of motivation to write more which was

enjoyable for me this month and made me feel relaxed.

2. What didn't go so well? How can I improve for next month?

I've been a bit behind on some homework in one class. I know in order to stay ahead, I will have to complete the homework earlier and do a little bit each day to maintain a better schedule.

3. How did I grow as a person?

I learned to take each day by day and not pressure myself about the future. Though I have to make some important decisions next month, I've learned not to stress about what I don't know yet.

4. What challenges did I face this month?

Deciding upon what college I should transfer over to after community college. One of the reasons why I was stressed and worried about my transferrable credits.

5. What am I spending too little or too much time on?

I think I'm spending too much time on note-taking in two of my classes. I often find myself reading the entire chapter. So, I can understand the information to help prepare for the test. Next time, I will definitely scan over the text and take down notes on only what I need.

6. Did I reach my goals this month?

Yes, I reached one of my goals this month which was to make more time for self-care days. I would try and do this every week to help me reduce stress and give myself breaks. By doing so, it helped me my motivation towards school work.

7. What made me feel grateful this month?

What made me feel grateful this month was warmer and sunny days to help remind me that summer is coming soon. Also, talking with people and learning something new about them made me realize how grateful I am to have them in my life.

8. What habits should I continue to focus on?

I would like to continue to focus on my self-care days and learn to scan over my textbook to take quick notes.

9. What did I do this month to take care of myself?

I started getting back into reading books for fun and this is something I've always enjoyed. So, I'm happy to ignite this hobby again. I also finished a book in two days!

10. Overall, how would I rate my month?

I would rate my month a 7 out of 10. Given the fact that I was a bit behind on homework and I'm learning to manage my time better with the workload. Though there were happy moments and times I felt grateful, I hope I can continue improving myself and my choices over time.

Thank you all very much for reading this post! I hope you all enjoyed reading about what a typical month is like for me as well as how I learn to make better decisions and deal with conflicts in my life. I hope this post inspires you to sit down and take some time to reflect on your month as well! I have additional posts that I am excited to share with you all next month and I cannot wait to share them with you all. So, stay tuned for new blog posts coming soon!
