How To Stay Organized

Hello everyone, hope you all are having an amazing day. In today's, blog post, I thought I would share with you all tips and tricks on how to stay organized. Now, I know that this can be hard, but if you create your own schedule and stick to it then, you will succeed. If you guys like these types of posts, please let me know and I will continue to make them.

Create a To Do List Daily:

  • Write down certain assignments that need to be completed, chores that need to be done, bills you need to pay, etc.

Use a Planner:

  • This is the most useful tool that you need!

  • This is an extremely helpful way to keep track of assignments, money spent, deadlines, appointments, etc.

  • Feel free to color code your planner with different classes and notes.

Set Up a Daily Routine:

  • Our brains love a routine. It helps us stay focused and motivated.

  • Schedule days and times when you will be completing a certain task.

  • Schedule a few hours to do homework and to study.

  • This helps you to breakdown your tasks so, you are not stressed.

Prepare Everything You Need In the Morning, the Night Before:

  • This is very helpful for those busy school and work mornings.

  • Make your lunches and meals at night so, you don't have to stress about it in the morning.

  • Prepare your clothes for the next day.

  • Pack your backpack the night of.

  • Doing all of these things will ensure you haven't forgot anything, relieve stress in the morning, and save you time.

Separate Each Class with Colored Folders and Notebooks:

  • Helps you keep super organized and know where everything goes.

  • Look over your schedule. How many classes are you taking? Then, decide how many folders and notebooks to buy.

  • One class will have a blue folder and a blue notebook and so on.

  • This helps you stay organized and stay inline of your classes.

Don't Procrastinate:

  • The worst thing you can do!! Stay ahead! Your mind and body will thank you.

  • The longer you wait to do something, the more difficult it is to get it done.

  • Assign a day during the week to get it done, this relives stress and tension off of you.

Everything Needs a Home:

  • Organize all your items in containers.

  • Pens and pencils should be in round containers for easy access.

  • File papers, bills, and other important information in a file folder/cabinet.

  • Have a system with everything that you organize

  • Have drawers labelled with items that are in it.

Don't Let Your Storage Places Get Cluttered:

  • Never label anything miscellaneous!

Declutter Frequently:

  • Once a month, go through your phone and get rid of apps, pictures, emails, etc.

  • Do this with clothes, papers, etc.

Clean Up After Yourself:

  • Start making your bed every morning, cleaning the sink, and straighten your room.

  • Helps you obtain a routine and get ahead of things.

Set Timers:

  • Certain tasks can take a long time to get done.

  • Use a timer app on your phone to stay on top of assignments and deadlines. I recommend downloading the "Tomato Timer" app.

  • Helps you divide your time and use your time wisely.

Get Enough Sleep:

  • Go to bed early!! This is super important! Your body and mind need rest.
